基于美国和欧洲的经验,中国工程教育学要实现“发展知识”与“改进实践”的双重目标定位,需要大力发展和创新实证研究方法体系。对《高等工程教育研究》2017—2023年工程教育主题文章的统计分析发现,实证研究数量呈现上升趋势,已超过思辨研究,成为案例报告类研究之外的主要研究方法,但实证研究存在规范性欠缺的突出问题,从方法层面来看,工程教育学仍处于经验总结为主的“前学科”阶段。未来,中国工程教育学发展应聚焦有关工程教育实践关切与理论发展的学术性问题,以问题引领方法选择;建设多元实证研究方法体系,尤其要探索直接服务于实践改进的研究方法;加强研究规范性要求,提升研究质量。
Based on the experiences of the United States and Europe
Chinese engineering education researchers
to achieve the dual goals of "developing knowledge" and "practical innovation"
should vigorously develop and innovate the empirical research methods system. A statistical analysis of the engineering education research articles in
Research in Higher Education of Engineering
from 2017 to 2023 found that empirical studies tend to increase
surpassing speculative research as the main rese
arch method outside of case studies. However
its empirical research has prominent problems of lacking of standardization. From a methodological perspective
engineering education is still in the "pre-disciplinary" stage
mainly introducing and summarizing experiences. In the future
engineering education researchers in China should focus on academic issues related to practical concerns and theoretical developments in engineering education
and use research questions to guide choice of methods; building a diverse methodology system
especially exploring research methods that directly serve practical improvement; strengthening research standardization to improve research quality.
