近年来我国人口形势发生了重大变化,少子化、老龄化趋势进一步加快,人口结构增长分化、区域性别比例呈现两极发展。与此同时,我国高等教育,特别是高等工程教育仍处于资源扩张阶段,作为投入要素的人口与人才供给要素的教育在未来将出现严重的供需矛盾,并深入影响经济产业和区域协调发展等各个方面。基于上述背景,文章分析了这种供需的紧迫形势,并借鉴美、日等国家和地区少子化趋势下高等教育的发展经验,梳理了少子化趋势对我国工程教育发展的未来挑战,呼吁和冀望教育管理者和实践者立足国家整体发展战略,转变观念、付诸行动,在教育全局上由规模扩张思维向提高质量、提高效率进行转变。
In recent years, China’s demographic situation has undergone significant changes, with the trend of fewer children and aging further accelerated, the population structure growth differentiated, and the regional gender ratio showing bipolar development. Meanwhile, China’s higher education, especially higher engineering education, is still in the stage of resource expansion, and there will be a serious contradiction between the supply and demand of population as an input factor and education as a talent supply factor in the future, which will deeply affect all aspects of economic industry and regional coordinated development. Against the above background, this paper analyzes this urgent situation of supply and demand, and draws on the experience of higher education in the trend of less children in the United States and Japan and other countries and regions, sorts out the future challenges of the trend on the development of engineering education in China, and calls and hopes that education managers and practitioners, based on the overall development strategy of the country, change their concepts and put into action, and change from scale expansion to quality and efficiency in the overall situation of education.
